Girls Night Out!

I took my girls out to see Ratatouille tonight! I spoiled them rotten and sugared them up by taking them to buy candy first and then getting them popcorn at the movie too!! I love those girls so much it is SO fun to spoil them! They liked the movie and I thought it was cute. Annie did pretty well but didn't want to sit the whole time in the theater. It was pretty long for a kids movie. On our way home I told the girls that they were spoiled and they said "It's not our fault, you are the one that spoils us, you and Mema!" I then retorted that if they stopped being so cute and sweet then I would stop spoiling them, they replied "Well that's not gonna happen, we can't stop being cute!" lol, so much fun!!!

Super Hero Day!!

At work every Friday we have a differnt theme day, today was "Superhero Day" and I dressed up as a camo Superman! The kids and staff laughed at me because I managed to dress up like a superhero, yet stay true to my thuggish look that I have been sport'n this summer.

Me and my new Bud Kilie, if you haven't noticed let me point out that my hair in these pics is RED! Yes that's right I dyed my hair, well actually Kilie did and I dyed hers! We weren't too thrilled with the color at first, Kilie said "We went from daughters of God to trailer trash!" But the colors grew on us and we like them now!!

Water Balloon Volleyball

We decided to spend the rest of our Saturday evening playing a little water balloon volleyball. It was a ton of fun and has become one of our favorite cheap activities, since we are all poor college students!! This time the teams were Keith and Aaron VS me, Cristina, Kevin and Ingrid. Keith and Aaron kicked our butts even with being out numbered!! A couple highlights were Kevin and I concstantly trying to catch the balloons with our hands, adn they always popped on me, but not Kevin!! Also when the balloon came flying and hit me so hard in the face it left a red mark. And last but not least the water fight at the end. Aaron grabbed all of the coolers that still had some water in them and dumped them on all the girls' heads. We retalliated with water ballons in his face!!

Young Country

Cristina and I went to see this band Young Country play at Superstitions Springs mall ampitheater becuase she has to see 5 concerts for the summer class she's taking at ASU and this one was free and that's all she cared about. They were actually not too bad and they did a couple of good cover songs. All together though we had fun watching the old people rock out (there were a TON of older people there) to a band called Young Country. See the irony?

VIK Mormon Girls

I organized a vik mormon girls movie night so that all of my new friends at work could get together and hangout with the coolest person in the world....me!! Just Kidding, but it really was a great chance for us to get to know eachother better, have a lot of laughs and talk all about our job. We didn't even end up watching a movie because we had so much fun talking!! We seriously laughed so hard!!! Two of the girls who came, Miley and Tamra (They are Ralene's roommates) were not from our VIK site but a different one so we got to fill them in on all the stuff that goes down at Harris VIK!! I had so much fun and by the time everyone left it was past 2 in the morning and we all decided we were for sure going to hangout again next weekend! I am so excited to have so many new awesome friends that I have so much in common with!!

Good Food, Good Friends

Last night I had a great time and really enjoyed my break from my crazy busy life. I went to Oregeno's with Lindsey and Amanda and we had fun just talking and goofing around and of course splitting a pizzookie!! There really is nothing better than great friends and delicious food!

Diamondbacks Madness!

All I have to say is that taking 18 6-8 year olds on a field trip to see the D-backs play is a nightmare!! Especially when your 18 are only a sliver of the 900 kids your program took to the game!! It was insane, but I am glad it's over! At least I can say I still like my job even after that craziness!!

Fathers Day

My family all got together to celebrate dad's day and of course with my family we all got a little crazy and had a lot of fun!! I baked my brains out and made my great grandpa raspberry bars and cookies and I made my grandpa brownies and I made a cheesecake for my dad. Plus I made 3 different kinds of cookies to put in the cookie jar I got my dad as a present. He loved his presents and he's pretty sure with the addition of his cookie jar his desk will for sure be a popular gathering spot for everyone at work lol. We had a really yummy dinner and then went over and gave our grandpa's their gifts. Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Jim taught us a new domino game called "Chicken Foot" and we played it with them and then we played it with dad when we got home. Overall I had a great time spending Father's Day with all of my favorite guys!!

My old camera is dead- one too many snowboarding trips and it won't turn on anymore. I was borrowing my mom's old brick of a camera and then I finally broke down and decided to buy a new one! You know me though, it was totally spur of the moment, not much planning, just went to Best Buy picked out the top of the line super slim, super small, 3.0 screen camera and plunked down the cash. I bought a Sony Cyber-Shot T100. It is an 8.1 Megapixel with 5x optical zoom, super steadyshot and face detection technology. This camera is off the hook!!! I totally love it. I took a bunch of random pictures tonight with it and I was beyond thrilled with their quality! I took Pics of anything or anyone that would let me. Unfortunately Cristina wasn't too thrilled with my shutter happy self, but she was so good about it, I even dragged her along to best buy and she didn't care. She's a seriously good friend who looks great in pics with me! lol

Hide and Seek!

Yes, adults can still play that game! Well at least some do. This Sunday evening found myself, my younger brother Kevin and his girlfriend Ingrid, alone at my house with nothing in particular to do. Ingrid suggested we play hide and seek and us being the mature adults we are agreed! lol. We actually had a blast playing and Kev and I were amazed at how many times we had to give up because we couldn't find Ingrid!! She's so small she fit in SO many places!! The funniest moment about tonight has to be hands down when Kevin got stuck in his hiding place and his girlfriend had to help get him out!! Yes that's right Kevin got stuck hiding in his own dirty clothes basket!!

So my dad grew out a beard for the pioneer trek and decided after the trek to trim it up and keep it. The only problem was that it was very gray and he wanted to look young. So he bought some brown dye and made me dye it for him. I went ahead and dyed his hair too. It was messy but once I finished he looked pretty good. He was a wuss though and said it burned so he washed some of it out and I had to do part of it again! lol. He went to the gas station last night and while filling up a younger lady got out of her car and gave my dad a double take (or so he says). He was happy!!! He feels young again! And I guess I am now the official hair colorist of the family!

Being a Mommy for the Weekend!

I spent my weekend with my favorite little girls in the world!! Jack and Amy were Ma's and Pa's for our stake's Pioneer Trek, so they were gone for four days and I watched the girls! I spoiled them rotten and had so much fun doing it! I loved dressing Annie in cute outfits, and I gelled her hair up in a Mohawk everyday, except for Sunday, when I put a bow in it. I also just loved playing with all of them all the time, I love those girls oh so much! Amy was so worried about leaving them, especially Annie who is only 9 months old. They were all so good though! Annie became VERY attached to me. It was cute, but also made my life a little bit more difficult. I felt so bad when Amy came home because Annie didn't want to go to her. She only wanted me. When I got home Monday afternoon I almost didn't know what to do with myself!! I didn't have anyone I had to watch or love or take care of. I was seriously sad! I missed my girls!! They are such a big part of my life and I am going to miss them SO much when I go on my mission!! I took a bunch of pictures this weekend, most of them from Makutu's Island and some from around the house and our water fight in the backyard. Seriously so much fun!!
