Early Birthday Present!!

My mom surprised me with an early birthday present yesterday... Lower Level Suns tickets!!! I was so beyond excited! Once we got there, there was seriously an ear to ear grin on my face until the time we left!! The game was awesome, we played some excellent "D" (not something we're known for) and had the Hawks beat by half time!! Thanks to my mommy for such a fabulous gift!!! I am seriously a die hard suns fan, in fact I think I really do bleed Purple and Orange!!Ya that's right, Lower Level behind the basket!!

My Wonderful Mother who could not have given me a better present!!

An Eagle -1 1/2 years later

Tonight Kevin had his Eagle Court of Honor although he actually got his Eagle about a year and a half ago. Kev really hates celebrations and ceremonies in his honor (he's the complete opposite of me in that respect) so he didn't want to have a court of honor when he finished his project. But there were 5 guys in our ward who had within the last year or so had gotten their eagles and so they all got together and had a combined ceremony tonight. Poor Kevin's face was red all night I am pretty sure he was embarrassed, he really hates being the center of attention.

The Eagle Scout

Kev and his friend Brian who also got his Eagle tonight

The 5 newest Eagle Scouts in the Alma First Ward- Don't they look thrilled?

Kev pinning on the Mom's Eagle Pin- my mom really deserved that one, she worked so hard to help Kevin get his Eagle!!

In all honesty the whole thing was kind of boring, but I am glad Kev got the recognition he deserved cause he did work hard for it!! In case you were wondering his project was to make incubator covers for a valley hospital. It was a really cool project and the hospital appreciated it greatly!! Way to go Kev we're proud of ya dude!

Keeping Up With The Jones'

I literally tried to keep up with the Jones'!! On Saturday my family when out riding with my uncle Jeff (Jones) and his 4 kids. We had so much fun together and the two oldest Jones kids really loved the fact that they raced their 20 year old cousin and beat her butt!!! That's right I talked a big game but I couldn't put my racing skills were my mouth was and I lost to 14 and 12 year olds! Dang!!! No but really it was really neat to have the whole fam out there sharing something we love to do, all together!

There were 9 quads altogether in a line, it was pretty cool!!

Me catching some air! Woot woot!! I caught a lot more on my first jump before my bro was there with the camera, but I caught so much air that when I landed I almost flipped over the handlebars, so after that I toned it down on the throttle.

My cousin Jake catching his bunch of air

And then Laura grabbed her fair share of air too!

A Perfect Evening

Friday night I told Jack and Amy to take the night off and go out and relax while I watched the girls. We took a bike ride to the park and goofed around, then headed home to order pizza, watch "The Game Plan" and then have my famous homemade pizzuki for desert. For me it really was a perfect night.

So CUTE!!! This baby loves to swing!

Such a silly Kiley girl!!

One goofy Maicy!! Showing off her muscles while going down the slide- now that's what I call multi-tasking!

Monkey on the Monkey Bars

The Sun is setting, guess it's time to ride home.

My homemade pizzuki is absolutely to die for!!
-If I do say so myself!! lol

My little Suns Fan!!

I had Annie tonight while her family was at the district spelling bee cheering on Hailey (who got 9th place out of 40 kids!!). While I was in my room putting stuff away Annie found one of my Suns Jerseys and tried to put it on. So I helped her and then couldn't help but snap a picture!!

She's even drinking Gatorade like the pros!!! (Although I don't think they drink theirs in sippy cups! lol)

Cutest Steve Nash EVER!!

Then after dinner (Mac and cheese- Annie's fav) it was time for the Suns vs Bucks and I had to watch!! The funniest thing ever is that Annie watched it too!!

Such a grown up girl!! Lounging on the couch watching basketball and snacking. (Amy-It's a granola bar not a candy bar- I promise)

Tearing up the Mountain

I took advantage of MLK day and I went up to Sunrise to Snowboard!! I took my little bro Kevin and his girlfriend with me and taught them how to ride. We had a blast!!! Thanks again Jack for letting Kev borrow your board.

Snowboarding again!! Woot Woot!!

For her first time Ingrid did SO well!!

Kevin on the other hand had a little bit harder time

Cold- but happy

Look at that Style!! Go Ingrid!

Just chilling- literally!

What a cute snowboarding couple!!

Ya that's right- I can shredd!!

I think I am so cool! lol

One Fine Day

Today was a very busy, but absolutely wonderful day!!! It started out EARLY at the temple where I was able to be supported by many friends and family while I took a very important step forward in my life. Many thanks to all who were there for me, I will never be able to express how wonderful it was to have you there. Following the temple we had sort of a celebration lunch at Red Robin. Then we went home, changed, loaded up and went out riding. Once we got back I quickly unloaded and met my best friends at Cold Stone for some Ice Cream and more good times.
Gorgeous- seriously

Three very important people in my life who were there with me

My baby bro and I

Lunch Buddies -Minus the boys who left early

Big Bro

Mom on her brand new Quad

Sarah getting the hang of shifting

Mom- STUCK!! This was absolutely hilarious and totally soaking!! I had to get in by the back tire and push the thing out and my feet were very sloshy after that!

Best Buds and Ice Cream- Who could ask for anything more?

All Smiles

A great end to a spectacular day!!

I am seriously so grateful for the experiences I had today and I realized how blessed I truly am to have so many people who will drop what there doing and be there to support me. I love my life- seriously I am just so HAPPY right now, it is fabulous!! I don't know if I've ever felt this way before, but I am hoping I can keep this spirit and attitude with me as I embark upon a new adventure in San Antonio.

My List

So a lot of things have been running through my mind lately. It's really hard to think that in 2 months life as I know it is over. Yes, I know that sounds a tad dramatic, but that's kinda the way it is. So the more I have been thinking about the end of my time here in AZ to coast through life there are a few things left I want to do. So I have created a list.
In no particular order here it goes:
- Go Snowboarding at least once this season
- Go out riding with the whole family
- Spend a really cool weekend with my girls
- Go to Cali again
- Finish reading through the B of M again
- Lose 4 pounds
- Find a haircut that I like (and can have as a rep of the church)
- Watch ALL suns games between now and March 24th
- Spend more time with my sis in law and get to know her better
- Compile a book of all of my fav recipes and get really good at making them

Well that's all I have thought of so far but I am sure I will add things. In all honesty I am so ready to be gone all ready!! I want to go serve the lord and sitting here thinking about all of the things I will miss is not much motivation. Saying goodbye to my friends and family for 18 months will be the HARDEST thing I have ever done(even harder than trying to walk on crutches two days after breaking my pelvis- man that hurt!)

TEXAS SAN ANTONIO SPANISH SPEAKING MISSION!!!

I got my mission call to the Texas San Antonio Spanish speaking Mission and I report to the MTC in Provo on March 26th!! I am beyond excited!!! When I opened my mailbox and saw the call I picked it up and just started crying! I was just so excited it was here and in shock that the time had really come and that I was really going on a mission. Even though I had said before that I would rip it open the second I got it, I decided to wait for my family. So I rushed over to the Church building where my Brother was having his ring ceremony (I went to check the mail in between the temple and the ring ceremony/luncheon). My whole family and close friends were all there while I opened it. It was great to have all of that support!! I just can't wait to serve in Texas!!Me with my call waiting till the rest of my family arrives

Tearing it open before the ring ceremony starts

Reading my call to serve

I couldn't believe it!! Texas! Well only one person was right on the poll- I am going somewhere stinking Hot stateside and I am learning Spanish!!
